Lindsay's Gallimaufry

gallimaufry [gal-uh-maw-free] a hodgepodge; jumble; confused medley; a conflation of galer to amuse oneself and mafrer to gorge oneself.

French hotels want to promote the genericism that foreigners have bad fashion sense.

At first it amazed me that in a country that is obsessed with high fashion:

  1. There are only 3 hangers in my modestly sized wardrobe
  2. There is no iron or ironing board for me to get the wrinkles out of my packed clothes.
I guess foreigners are just expected to be wrinkled and frumpy.
